Why does my 1090 sc 5 spd. Buck, when I give it gas?? Don't buck when I drive steady. Usually thats due to worn plugs and wires.

Did you check for codes yet?

Done any work to it lately?

Any mods?

But yes, wires & plugs, usually.

Agreed. Time to replace those spark plugs.

When either of our '90 SC's start acting up like that the first thing we do is swap out the plugs and wires. Fortunately we have access to a lift. Up and down like a yo-yo on the lift doing one plug and one wire at a time - except the two up front.

We've been using Taylor wires for a good while with great success.

I need a 1989 sc radio with a cassett, Premium sound. I don't think thats going to help your bucking issue.. ;) Check in parts for sale. Also, there was a member, Paul Protos, who refurbished the older units many years back. I don't have his contact info, but do a search and see if you can locate and contact him.
