If anyone is interested, I'm working on a group buy for some C.A.T Power Engine Parts Ford 351W H Beam Super Race Rods. The 351W rods can be utilized in the 3.8SC engine with custom pistons. These rods are one of the best available.

Specs are as follows:

CALIFORNIA AUTO TECH 4340 "H" beam super race rods for Ford 351 windsor. They are 5.956" length and feature: CNC Machined 4340 forged steel, weight balanced within + or - 2 grams, MSA 8740 cap screws, and Bronze wrist pin bushings for use with full floating pins.

This rod has a .912" pin and 2.310 rod journal, average weight is 640g - 680g.

CONNECTING RODS - 4340 "H" BEAM SUPER RACING

All C.A.T. 4340 "H" beam Super Racing Rods feature:

Rods and Caps are separately forged from Aircraft Quality Chrome Moly Steel to obtain optimum grain flow.

A total of 356 machining processes and state-of-the-art of final touches create the lightest rods in the racing industry. The AUTOCAD 14 blue print allows the super racing rods to fit into any stroke. All big and small ends are finished with SUNNEN crossgrind.

All cap screws are specially designed and manufactured in the USA for stroker applications.

A18 aluminum bronze wrist pin bushings are made to withstand higher impact force. A third hole drilled at end of the bushing releases any air pockets from the bushing.

I will be using these in my current build up with some custom pistons. The group buy will be for the H beam rods only. For more info and pricing, to be determined, please email me so I can gauge interest in the group buy:

Okay, here's the deal. I can get them in matched sets of 8 for $400. They are normally $515 a set. You will end up with two extra rods, or if I can get at least three sets of the same weight per rod, I can split them up and charge a little less. Email if you want to purchase, I accept paypal.
thanks!

So if we get 3 people to purchase they end up being $300 a set?

8x3=$400x3=$1200/4=$300 for 6 rods?

Just debating whether I want to buy parts that are going to sit around for a while... as I don't see doing a rebuild in the immediate future.
