Anybody know what the yellow connector does under the kick panel?

Left or right? What year?

How many pins? Can you get a better photo straight on looking inside?

Do the two yellows go together? If right side, that might be for the instrument panel.

89 SC Manual Trans

Right side. 18 pin connector. Yes, the two yellow connectors go together. Where do I find the pinout for that connector? I have the Chilton book for it.

The only thing with 18 pins that in that location, according to the EVTM's component locator ('90), is 'instrument cluster' (analog).

Recommend you pick up an '89 factory EVTM off eBay. Not too expensive, and a must when owning an SC - I'd donate the chiltons to goodwill ;)

Might be worth investing in the other factory manuals as well. 4" thick 'Shop Manual' and 'Engine Emissions and Diagnosis'.
