I am looking for info on the physical difference of the gaers on the wide ratio gear set for the AOD. I would like to know if anybody knows what the tooth count on the gears are so that if i was looking for them in a bunch of different gear sets i could pick them out.I am going to rebuild my tranny and i would like to put the wide ratio gears in the trans instead of changing the rear end set.if anyone has the info i would appreciate this info as it would help greatly. Thanks! You might want to reconsider the wide ratio gears. If you install them 1st and 2nd will be like having gears but the step to third will be much bigger than you have now and will likely bog you down on the 2-3 shift. Especially if you have a locking converter.

IMO, your better off with the ratio you have now and 3.73 gears.

Ok for those of you with auto trans and 3.73 when you are on the highway at 100km (60mph) what are your revs at.I do not want to have the car revving too high a t cruise speeds.

This might help you.

This is how you figure it out mathamatically.

gear ratio (rear end) X MPH (60 mph) X 336
-------------------------------------------------------
tire diameter

Then take this times your forth gear (around .63)

For 3.73's you'll lose app. 2mpg
