I was browsing the posts and came to one that, compared the mark VII and the SC and the guys there came to the conclusion that the mark has a smoother ride and confort, but the SC has THA BOOST. Im wondering why the mark viii has a 'smoother' ride if both cars are of the same MN12 platform? I wouldnt mind having the most 'smoothest' possible ride in my sc.

The Mark has air ride shocks and it's tuned more for (floaty IMO)ride , and dosen't handle too well. The Sc has the adjustable gas shocks with the firm mode, giving it a bigger advantage in handeling.
I personally feel they had a different (less sporting) buyer in mind when engineering the Mark. Nothing wrong with that, just what they thought the Lincoln- buyer demographics (read-older)would demand.
