Hi there my name is Jeff Gillard and a recently became an owner of a 1991 thunderbird Sc. I have joined the sccoo. I have 2 problems first is I can not find anywhere, where there is a place that sells Thunderbird Sc parts in Toronto. I know of the Super Coupe Performance website but to change American dollars to Canadian is just to pricey. I was hoping you might be able to direct me on somewhere which sells parts to my car like the Super Coupe Performance website.

My second problem is a Mechanic I don't not know any mechanic that knows this car, and I'm afraid to let someone who doesn't know my car to work on it. I would like to know that the person working on my car knows it well and will do the best job. I have checked out the links page, and I went to a couple of place and they where no help.

Can you please help me out.

THanks

Hi Jeff, Welcome.

There are no places in Canada that offer performance parts for our cars. You pretty much have to order all bolt-on parts from the US.

Don't get me wrong, I'm sure there are BBK dealers here that could get you an SC throttle body, for example,.....but you would probably end up spending the same thing. But once again there are no performance shops that are dedicated to SC's in Canada.

Between Super Coupe Performance, MN12 performance, Magnum Powers and ESM, you will be able to get everything for your car.

As for stock replacement parts you can get those at your local Ford dealer.

As for an SC mechanic, you can look at the "Parts & Services" page of the SCCoO site. You will find that most members do their own mechanical work. I'm not sure how mechanically inclined you are, but I would say post whatever problems you are having with you SC and I'm sure someone one the board will give you some very helpful advice.

Also, try to make it out to the local club meets and get to know some of the guys. They are very, very helpful and very knowledgeable when it comes to the SC's

Steve.

Welcome, Jeff.
A fair part of the mods that are done in the club are done on someone's driveway/garage. Bolt-on stuff, fuel pumps, stereo work, etc. You can bet that if you ask for help and describe what you've got (problems or mods) you'll have at least one person want to help. Some things are better left to pros (for tools and/or knowledge) but most are things that can be dealt with in a good manner. Also, think of the money you can save.....you think MY car is going back to a dealer/mechanic...only for a diagnostic or an alignment. Everything that's done to my car was done with SCCoO help. Many others are in the same vote.
Next time you wanna do something post it first. I can say honestly that the guys and girls in SCCoO are great for help in any way.
Good luck.
