A/C conversion

I had my 89 SC converted to 134A. I bought a new dryer because oil tends to collect in there and the oil must be changed to a different type. The A/C shop evacuated the system, installed all new o-rings,changed out the dryer, installed adapters for filling the system(they screw onto the existing ones)and added the new oil, filled the system with 2lbs of RC134A and that's it.
The system cools as well as it did with RC12. No other mods (such as larger condensor, different pressure switches,etc.).
The electrical plug on the dryer has an adjustment screw between the two connectors , but I don't know if it was changed from the factory setting. I'm sure it's a pressure switch.
Ive been running it for a year and a half now and there's been no leaks or other problems. Total cost was $!50 plus the dryer(about$67).
Good luck with yours.
Tom
