Brake fluid resevoir grommet leaking.

Does anyone know where to get these two grommets at?
The resevoir sits on a forward and aft rubber grommet
that is on the actuation assembly. They say it's a dealer item
only costing $240.00 That's for the resevoir kit which includes
those grommets.

Anyone had to deal with this before? Anyway to find out
who makes these grommets? The rear one is leaking slowly.

Thanks,
J.

For $240, I'd try multiple types of sealants and first before throwing in the towel. Start with the black silicon and be sure the rubber is clean and dry where you're patching the grommet. Another thing to try is adding a few layers of teflon tape to the parts which fit inside the grommet.

Is teflon compatible?

Thanks for your input, but is teflon and silicone compatible
with DOT 3 & 4 brake fluid? Guess the real qustion is,
can an Glycol based brake fluid be compatible with
either a Silicone sealant or Teflon tape. Do they
make Butyl or Aflas or Nitrile based OTC sealants?

Later,
J.

Go to a wrecking yard and get a couple from a wrecked car. Most are the same size. Permitex 518 is the only one I know of that is brake fluid resistent.
