how do i tell if my slave cylender is bad?

you guys have probably seen some of my posts by now and i have narrowed down my shifting problems to ether the clutch or the slave cylender. the car is a 93sc with 108k on the clock. how do i tell if the slave cylender is bad.

On my Amigo ('99) the pedal just went to the floor and that was it. No rebound, no nothing. May be wrong, but I think the sign was that it just wasn't shifting like the clutch was in all the way, slight grind going into gear sometimes. Worked fine afterwards. Don't know if that really helps you or not??
