AS everone is going to tell you "you need to pull the codes".
If you don't have a code checker you are really flying blind.
You can get a code checker threw your loc. Napa store.
A code checker is really the bible for the SC. Without one you can spend a lot of money looking for your problem. BUT, some times the problem will hide from the code checker too.
One of many guesses would be that your O2s are going bad. Some times the O2s will kick your check engine light on and off at different times under different loading of the motor.
Have you replace them as of late?
I would not replace anything until you can locate the problem correctly.

I had the same thing...I pulled codes and it was complaining about insufficiant EGR...It was very intermittent...Never did get rid of it even after new o2's and EGR valve...Car is down right now so no further troublshooting has been done on it for that...
Bottom line Pull Codes...If you do get the EGR code, use the steps from the TBSCEC FAQ on how to check it before you replace it...There are other links in the EGR system that can pop this code....Much luck...
