Bought a new SC, SEAT STUCK

I just bought a 93 sc. The seat won't move forward or back.
I can see the motor trying to move the seat but it seems as if it is locked into place. So I don't think it's the motor. Any ideas why??

The tracks are probably gummed up with crap and rust. You need to remove and clean them. Most people never move their seats again after they set them so they sit all that time getting dust dirt debris on them and they rust.

To do a good job yes you will have to remove the seat.

Jeff, Have you ever removed a seat? If yes, how many bolts? Any tips on easy removal?

this is a picture from MN12 Performance, it shows you where the bolts are that hold the seat down...

and this is a technical "how-to" on a power seat modification, it has a few pictures that might help you to see what the tracks look like and how to get the seat out, and remember to unplug the power wires after you unbolt the seat so you dont yank them out.
