motor mounts

my 89 sc had motor mounts done in 1997, i know because the guy that i bought the car from gave me pretty much every recipt for everything in the car, but when i look at my oil filter its really close to the frame , but when i rev my engine it doesnt move a lot ive compared it to other sc's and its the same, now do i need motor mounts or are all of are oil filters hard to get out ....
its about 1/2 " away from the crossmember(i think thats what it is)

Sounds typcal for the filter location.

A better check is if the oil pan is able to rub on the power steering line. You should still have a good gap between the cross member and the bottom of the oil pan.

A bad motor mount isn't going to necessarily make the oil filter move closer to the cross member. It just makes the engine sit lower.
