I found a 35th Anniversary SC for sale. With 10,000 Original KMS (not miles) the thing looks brand new. It might be even, less like 5,000 kms? How much do you think it would be worth? Like what would a collector pay for it? Would it be hard to resell?

Im thinking of buying it, and reselling it on a forum like this to try and find a collector.

So anyone have any ideas in value? (Not book value) like how much I would problay get for it to someone like a collector or what ever...

Matt,

this is the million dollar question. I have seen people selling 35ths for anywhere from 6000 to 14000. That is not to say of course that is what they are getting. I am acquainted with two auction and collector car business owners and they can't tell me that there is a big demand for these cars right now. A lot of this depends on what a potential buyer wants and how much he is willing to pay. Most collectors that I have talked to tell me they are not going to pay much more than 8000 or 9000 for a really nice car. The higher valued cars will have to have the 35th package items such as the book, mats, poster, and keys. My sense, from a collector standpoint, is that right now the 35ths are at the bottom of the market and beginning to go up but the economy is affecting them as well. My two cents is not to pay something like 6000 to 8000 and hope to get 10000 or 12000. At least this is the case in the national auction and collector circles. SC's are still in the very early stages of collectibility. They just aren't old enough to bring collector values yet.

Happy Holidays.

you would be lucky to find a highschool kid with a rich daddy and milk him for what hes worth.

or you coudl buy the car, keep it in a garage for 10 more years and then ask the question again.

not to sound like an ~~~, merry christmas

sweet dude. i say if you have a garage or know someone who will store the car for you, then go for it. keep it nice and pretty and low miles and it will be worth allot of $$ someday.

I would say that the SC thunderbird, the 35th being the most sought for no doubt with all of its credable collectable bits that came with this rare edition...Think about it...How many FORD anything came that equipped with all the lil things attached to it in order for the car to keep its very own signature??? I would say that the 35th has a future in the collectables arena...Value on the other hand will have to follow a trend that can not be predicted in such a market. With such a late model car that has all of the things a collector would like to see in any car deemed for collection, it is gonna take time for sure...

If it were me buying, I would say that anything over 10K is pretty steep even with the mileage you are talking about...If the guy wants more than that he is in for the long haul would be my guess..
