I had setup the previous “Announcement” post to run for about a month and that time is up, so I wanted to give everyone an update on what is happening.

I have just finished and submitted an editorial to the last (for a while anyway) Chargin’ Thunder due out this month. In it, I outlined the big plan for the future of the SCCoA. Once that issue is out to all members (not sure of exact dates, but is supposed to be in December), I’ll post the full text of the article here on the boards. No big secrets or earth shattering news in the editorial, we just wanted to extend the courtesy of letting all the current members read it first. But soon we will back to square one with no members and everything will be disclosed and appear here first!

Many thanks to all that have posted support for the new interim coordinator (that would be me) and also to those who have sent me emails. Most all have been very supportive and positive. Of course, I haven’t actually done anything, yet!

Keep all of your ideas written down so you can remember them when we need them. Soon there will be avenues to join or re-join the SCCoA and we’ll try to hash out the best club structure and leadership solution for the future.

Also, we are doing our best to rid ourselves of those infuriating “server busy” messages! Most of you know that we changed hosting companies and were doing real good there for a while. They put us on a different virtual box and we have not been able to get all of the settings quite right. We originally paid for a dedicated server and that setup will work a lot better. Ron is beating them up every day until we get it fixed. We’ll either get them to make it right or we will have another new hosting company early next year!

If things go well, I’ll be giving a new update before Christmas. If things go like they usually do, that will happen early next year. In either event, enjoy the holidays and rest up. We’re going to need a lot of assistance next year!
