'93 GAUGES ARE IN A WORLD OF THERE OWN - DIFFERENT GAUGE FACE COVER FITTING THAN THE '89-'92 SCs, PLUS THEY'RE A 120MPH SPEEDO. THE '94-'95 SCs HAVE A 145MPH SPEEDO. SORRY FOR THE CAPS.

I also have the 89-92 kit. As far as I know, without a group purchase set up (as mentioned above), these are the only ones available for the SC without getting a company to make them for a group buy. I have gone through all this before (in a big way!). There are 3 different speedos used in the span of the SC. 89-92, 93, and 94-95. They are ALL DIFFERENT. I'm sure most of you know this, and I know I'm restating things that have already been said, but I know this as fact. Here's a pic of the ProCarParts.com kit in my 90:
http://members.cox.net/terrapin.transit/indys.jpg
Here's a pic of the indies from procarparts.com (yes... they set them up wrong for the pic):

Here's a link to the indiglos at ProCarParts.com (http://www.procarparts.com/store/displaydetails.cfm?pid=FRD-TBD-8992-WTXX-TBRP-RVGX)
I also found my set on eBay. I ended up paying 55 bucks for them.
I used a dremel to cut in the switch into my dash for a "OEM" look:

speedo from a 1990 SC:

Now here's a pic of a speedo from a 93:
http://members.cox.net/cjeffery11/93speedo.jpg If you look close, you will see that the 60 mph mark falls in slightly different places. Sorry I don't have any pics of a 94-95 SC speedo. Whew! I hope this reply at least helps someone out!
-Jeff
PS- One more thing...the kit from procarparts.com (like mine) make a slight, high pitched audio hum when set on blue. They all do it (it's not just my set), but it's not a real big deal. The only way you would really hear it would be either with the motor not running, or if your SC runs extremely quietly. You just put on some tunes, and you're all set!

Hey for the SC owners with 94-95 SCs I dont think this guy can really get these indiglo gauges made . But I can if someone can help me find a 1994-95 gauge cluster with everything there all the gauges intack forsale( it dosnt even have to function) . I just need it to send out to this auto shop . once he gets the cluster Ill post the website in this forum . Once we get 20 people to purchase these gauges they will start tooling them and get them made ASAP. the money wont be drawn from your account until they are made and shipped out.. Ive been looking for a 94-95 gauge cluster for awhile now so please if anyones interested in this and has a cluster I would purchase it ASAP. then there will be indiglo gauges for late year SC's . if anyone has any questions please feel free to e-mail me.. I can also e-mail you the site were this is all going to go down. I would post it now but Im to lazy..
lol.. LaterZZ

Are you talking about the NR white faced gauges ?? cause I have a set of those gauges for my 1994 thunderbird SC already.. there nice .. but they glo the regular factory green at night.. Im looking for someone to make some indiglo or reverse indiglo gauges for the 94-95 SC's.. they make them for the 89 up in a site mentioned in this forum .. but for the 94-95 models.. Zip.. if you know a place that sells them other than NR that glo indiglo like blue or reverse indiglo.. im in. let me know..

I'm fairly sure he is referring to the NR white face set which as you know are not the "indiglo" set. What makes the indiglo set different is called EL or "electro luminescent". You guys might wanna do a search for companies dealing with electro luminescent products. It might narrow things down a bit. These gauges are made out of the same stuff (EL) that that neon glo wire is made from. It's kinda like a sandwich of this stuff between whatever the product is. The indiglo set doesn't need the existing dash lights to illuminate. The only thing that illuminates from the dash lights is the needles in the real indiglo sets. Which is why these sets also need to be wired when being installed. Each gauge face has a lead that goes into supplied inverter. Here's a link (http://world-electroluminescent.com/electroluminescentlighting.html) to one company that works with this stuff. Maybe you guys could inquire with the different companies. Who knows, maybe you'll get luckey!

IF YOU BUY A 92 SC REVERSE INDIGLO KIT ,
AND A MUSTANG REVERSE INDIGLO KIT WITH THE 150 MPH SPEEDO .COULD YOU USE THE 150 SPEEDO ON A 94 SC? I SEEN SOME 150 SPEEDOS INSTALLED ON MN12S . WOULD THIS SOLVE ARE 94 95 SC ISSUE ? ID BUY 2 KITS TO MAKE ONE KIT FOR MY 94 SC AND IT WOULD BE COOL TO HAVE THE 150 MPH SPEEDO. BUT WOULD I HAVE TO USE A SPEDOMETER CABLE FROM A MUSTANG?

OR MAYBE A SHO 150 SPEEDO?

THATS IT THE SHO 150 MPH SPEEDO!
SuperCoupe
04-10-2003, 06:02 PM
I'm almost certain the stang speedo can not be used, and the SHO speedo has been tried without much success. I can't remember what it was, but I remember there was a problem in using the SHO. There are 150 mph SC speedos out there, but they're extremely hard to find.

Shouldn't be too much longer now, I think it's been 4-5 weeks since they got the samples to work off of.. There was also another thread about them out there..
