Got an email from Jim Campisano of MMFF today saying he will be contacting his guys regarding covering next years race again, I also asked about sponsorship but he said he was not sure on that but he woudl let me know, Just thought I would let you know the progress. Interest is building looks as though we will top 50+ cars this year.

Jamie,

Although I doubt it would hurt MM&FF to cough up a year's free subscription or two or three for a few racers that day, you may find Jim Campisano more helpful in suggesting other people and/or companies who might be interested in sponsoring the event for the sake of some publicity. That magazine deals with many of the big names in the 'Go Fast Business', so I'm sure Jim and his crew have some inroads.

...Just a suggestion.

Best regards,

Sean

Thanks for the ideas Sean, when Jim returns my email regarding sponsorship as he said he was looking into it, then I will ask him about who else I shoudl contact and who are most likely to help out.

BTW guys, in case you haven't seen it, the current issue (February I think) of MM&FF has the coverage of the 2002 shootout. Mentions Jamie wimping out, something about rod bearings, and has photos and captions of Dave's and Les' cars.

I have been hunting for a copy of February's issue since I was in Allentown PA last month on business. I can't seem to find a copy anywhere around here! I even went into a bookstore the other day and found January's issue still on the shelf.

Any suggestions???

Cheers,

Sean

Jason,

If you could, that would be great! Please, just make a point of emailing me to let me know when you've picked one up for me, so I won't bother looking for one anymore. I think I may just have to buy a subscription to ensure I get each issue when I'm supposed too without too much hassle!

I'll gladly reimburse you, Jason.

Thanks,

Sean
