I think you might need a bigger hood?

Actually Bill it doesn't peek that far out of the hood. Altho it does look a bit funky because it is on an angle coming out so it looks crooked. I was quite impressed with his results though, I forget who's it is but oh well

Bruce, looks kindda cool eh. Are you thinking what I'm thinking about?
I knew you were. So that will fit under a stock hood, hmm, going to look into that one. Nice idea, I like that one, I do wonder if you are still able to push 15lbs of boost with that set up. The I/C looks smaller than the stck unit.

I think that the double I/C or the front mounted I/C are the way to go with my preferance leaning toward the front mount

I must agree on the front mount inttercooler and I wonder if there will be any in Carlisle:confused: I want the front mount for my car!

Greg,
There will most certainly be many-a-frount mounts to see.
There were a few last year for the few minutes you were on the fairgrounds.
BTW, are you coming for sure this year? Please let me know.

You may not have to wait till Carlisle to check out a front mount
MP I/C.

Andrew,
Well if it isn't the first guy in Canada to buy a MP FMIC.
Congrats buddy! Can't wait to see it installed.

Bill
I was little afraid I'd get flamed for spending the big bucks (gotta
be different I guess). I hope it lives up to the billing...I've got
an idea I discussed with Les and Ryan (they can fill you in)
just got to figure out the logistics. When I get it I can bring
the sucker out to one of the meets.

Andrew dont listen to what anyone says, its your money you spend it as you want to, i know i sounded iffy on the FM from magnum at Matt's house, but thats just because I couldnt see myself paying for that because its worth more then i paid for the car.. you have a nice newer SC and after being in ryans a couple times it is true what they say pre 94 to 94/5 is like night and day.

Andrew,
I can't see why anyone here would criticize you for buying the MP FMIC!
If these kits live up to the billing, they're one mod that can make a big difference regardless of whether your car is bone stock, or heavily modded. That being said, I don't know that I would make that my first mod if I was to start over again, but there's nothing wrong with you trying it out.
I'd love to see the kit both before and after it's installed. Heck, I'd love to be involved in helping you get it installed on your car.
All,
Now, in regards to Bruce's comment about pre-'94 cars vs. the '94-'95's, I think you'll find that there are many pre-'94 cars that can run with the '94-'95's. Check out the fastest lists for both the SCCoO and the SCCoA. I think you'll find that there are more pre-'94 cars in the top ten of each list than there are '94-'95 cars. Perhaps that has something to do with the higher purchase price of the newer cars, typically. And this might be resulting in the earlier cars being more heavily modded sooner simply because it can be afforded sooner. ...I don't know.
Cheers,
Sean

Doesn't matter what year car you have, it's much of your hard earned money you are willing to throw into it.
Maybe Bruce was refering to a stock 89 - 93 vs a stock 94/95 which had the better blower, bigger injectors, and the new interior.

Yes, I'll concede that if you're comparing a stock pre-'94 car to a '94-'95, the newer cars win out performance-wise. Personally, I think I like the pre-'94 interior better, and I definitely like the pre-'94 front and rear bumper covers better.
...But that's just my personal taste.
Realistically, who among us ever keeps their SC stock?! :D

Sean

Hey All
Thanks for the vote of confidence. Originally the MP I/C was
not going to be my first mod, it just turned out my rad developed
a leak so I figured as long as it's coming off may as well....(I'm
kind of funny that way). Now some of the other mods I'd like
to do will be done when time and finances permit. I guess we
all have some kind of idea of how we want our cars set up.
BTW don't even ask me about the rad
Bill McNeil
01-13-2003, 04:11 PM
Please tell me you didn't get rooked somewhere buying or re-coring a rad?
Andrew Wang

Yea, I went aluminum as in Griffin. I wanted a real nice looking
engine bay.

Andrew, it's all in fun, my friend. Just because I'm not a fan of dropping the amount you are on a I/C & rad, plus a top. I'm still going to tell you that it will out perform the stock set up you have now. This set you are going to be getting soon, will be good for about 300-400 horse, if you go that for.
Now as I have said before, many times, I'll help if you want when the time does come to drop it in your car.

Good for you Andrew, if I had the extra cash I would also go with the front mount IC.:)

I saw one last year but i'd like to buy one down there if I go.

Well the IC is finally here. It is huge compared to the stock IC,
the pictures doesn't do it justice. I'd say it's a good 3 to 4 times
larger than stock, a bit on the heavy side though.
To all who have kindly offered their help in installing it, I would
greatly appreciate the help (when the weather gets warmer).
I'll bring it to the meet tonight or next meet if anybody is interested.
Thanks again all
BTW this thing better be worth the money, my wife has a spot
picked out for it in the backyard next to the hole I'm going to
be in. :D

Andrew,
If you could bring it to the meet tonight, I will go for sure. I'm sure Greg, Ryan and everyone would like to see it also.
Call me if you want. I sent you a PM with the #.
