I need help making a t-shirt design for the Morana V6 Ford Challenge t-shirt, we are looking for a good picture for the front and most likely a good slogan for the back or vice versa, either way Milan and I suck at Photoshop so could someone make a cool design for the t-shirt and help us out? Not sure how we want the shirt to look as I mentioned so we may also put a RACE LOGO on the front if someone can make one that is cool, and then maybe a slogan on the back or picture on the back, give me your ideas and pics and we'll decide from there.
I really need to get going on this design though so I can have the t-shirts made up ahead of time and I don't want to wait till the last minute and then not have them ready.
We also decided not to use a sponsor list for the t-shirt since we do not know who ALL will be sponsoring and like last year we had a few back out, one sponsor 4 days before the race too so no sponsor list, but if anyone has any other ideas please let us know.
PLEASE HELP!

are you planning on using the SCCOO emblem on the shirt?
if so I will mail you a copy.
Tom Morana will have some art stored somewhere for his website or whoever hosts it for him.

haha not bad Bill!
We want to try and keep it away from bashing the V8's though, sicne they bash us so much we don't want to be like them, as well this race is about promoting the V6 and not bashing the V8's. But I thought that slogan was funny, LMAO :D

Jamie I'm going to try making one with a cool looking name.
Just want to make sure the name of the race is "Morana V6 Ford Challenge"

yes its actually the "Morana V6 Ford Challenge II" but the II is not really important, since we always call it the Morana V6 Ford Challenge, so adapting the "II" is up to you, maybe try with and without if you like. The "II" denotes the Second year of the event :)
Thanks for helpin out bro, I look forward to seeing what oyu come up with.

Jamie,
Forgive my igorance....but when is this event again? May 15th?
Just wanting to confirm. If that is the date, I will not be able to commit myself due to the closeness in timing to the Carlisle trip. I wouldn't want to risk breaking something 2 weeks before I leave. Now that so many SCers are going to Carlisle that would normally attend an event like this, I could see this being a concern.
Let me know.

Actually Bill, the race is the weekend before Carlise, the race is on May 24th, 2003 I realize this may cause a problem with some SC'ers not wanting to race but this was the best date we could get that worked for most of the racers, but unfortunately not all of them.
Having it on the 24th we are also working in conjuction with another large event in the niagara region that will draw a lot of cars, the Cougar club ( newer 3.0L FWD Cougars) are having their large event the same weekend and have actually changed their event from the 24th to the 25th so they can all attend the MV6FC and then have their event on the Sunday, last year they had 18 cars at their event and already have 11 cars signed up this year I believe, they have their meet in Niagara Falls, Ont.
Even if you guys do not wish to race since it is so close to the Carlise event you can still come out for the show and shine competition, call it a warm up to Carlise :D and that way you can come and watch and support us that way, although watching everyone else race may give some of you the bug to race as well :) But at least come out and watch and join the car show, plus if you do not race we could sure use help in running the event.

Jamie,
I will still come out for the show and shine for sure. I'll be damn tempted to race, but the weekend before Carlisle isn't a good idea. I'm sure most of us won't feel comfortable racing that weekend, but it sure will be another great event in what will likely proove to be the best year so far for Canadian SC enthusiasts.

Yeah well we woudl be happy to at least have ya for the show and shine, not sure on pricing for the show and shine yet but I know we will be charging a small fee for spectators this year, this money will go rightback intothe race as cash prizes for the winners though. If your inthe show and shine you do not have to pay the spectator fee of course though, thats included in the race fees and show and shine fees. Also if you are in the race the show and shine fee is included inthat so race and show for one price as well.
We shoudl have all pricing info available soon on the website.

sweet, here is what I came up with so far, someone sent me the lgo a while back and I played with it a bit on Photosop, I'm not very good though. When we get the shirts, they will be in black or white, and if we get some hats made up they will be black.

The last 2 are the better of the 4.
Looks good so far.

I like the last two the best as well. The detail of the letters is not really important, I will probably just get the letters in solid blue since they will be shrunk even more to fit on the shirts, that is of course if I use this logo, still waiting to see what Jason comes up with :D
Here is what the logo looks like at t-shirt size.

Sean it should be working now if you cut and past the url
SeanMatteson
01-21-2003, 12:01 AM
...That worked!
I'm not so sure I like how far apart the two lines of text are situated. Is there supposed to be a graphic of some sort inserted between the top and bottom lines?
Cheers,
Sean
