Sorry no scanner but here are the numbers:

R/T : .758
60' : 2.272
330' : 6.376
1/8 : 9.787 @ 71.90mph

** Car launches like crazy but bottoms out while climbing the tach. I hope with a raised top and inlet plenum i can help this thing breathe better.

Carlos...It looks like you had a good run going? Did it feel like it was "falling off" or was starting to misfire? That starving might be the result of dirty injectors. I think I asked you a bit back if you had serviced the fuel system, but I can't recall you response. With the Ten% od on the supercharger you should start to feel her digging in and pulling like a champ.

Hey ron, below 4000 man it pulls like crazy, infact the first race i was caught off guard and was planted in my seat.

I should state that honestly i may not be botoming out, but based on the way it pulls of the line i feel that with better breathing i can puller faster times. people in the crowd said they could tell when the car started choking.

While your are at it you might clean the MAF and throttle body. Although I am running totally smooth at the moment I will do the same on my SC prior to Bakersfield.

Yea good idea, i recently cleaned the maf not too long ago, but im sure the tb can use a cleaning. Im wondering if i can safely run a 10% pulley with my exhuast. i have totally stock manifolds ( for now ) but the rest is all hi flow.

RonzSC

Just for kicks....do you have a 5% to trial run ?
I have a stock '90 SC pulley that should work for you to try and see if you have an improvement. I will bring it to CA Drag Street Legal Drags in Feb.

Ron,

I put in a 5% on Carlos' SC and since his is a 94, its actually more like a 7.5%. What he needs is a hi flo air filter and a raised top. Carlos, I wouldnt run a 10% on your car just yet, Im sure you can safely run it, but more is to be had with other mods. I knew your car had it in it to run that time. And Im sure it has WAY more in it than that since that run is still a bit slower than what my car ran the first time out in Irwindale (actually my first time track running the SC, or any car for that matter) and I was basically stock. You need to ICE the IC tubes down, remove more weight from the trunk and get a better launch, that 2.2 should be more like a 2.16. On a side note, did you turn off your traction assist thinggie the 94's have??? If not thats why your short time sucked!

Al

PS I'll criticize more later :P

Hmm where to start... I agree with you al, i need that raised top and an intake. I do have a kn filter in the stock box though. I'll hold off on the 10%'er and work on other things. and No i left the traction assist on. I wish you all had come, there were people crowded around my car than the all out dragsters

al35thsc
01-17-2003, 02:41 PM
Ya do know what leaving the traction assist does right??? Basically, at soon as it starts noticing that your car is slipping IT HITS THE BRAKES FOR YOU so basically you are trying to drag race with one foot on the gas and another on the brakes. THAT MAKES SENSE dont it  Wish I was there too I could have told you not to do that and you would have gotten a 9.5 with a higher mph and a better short time.

Al im kicking you in the shins! Yea i know what it does, just didnt think to it off. this was my second time ever being at the track so of course there will be things i do wrong... but hey important thing is she's running alot better, and can only get faster !

Ha ha, I've never been as fast as I was my first time at the track :( Kinda makes me sad a little since the more i spedn the slowe rI go...

blksc,.
I don't know if I would spend the money on the raised top just yet. I really didn't notice a difference until I installed my almost triple sized I/C.

Well fellas i'll admit that im stuck. I intended to upgrade the maf and throttble body but didnt want to do so until i bolted on the MP inlet plenum. but i dont want to get the plenum and bolt the stock tb and maf onto it lol.

OH man you guys really got a jump on me. Say 35th you got any performance parts you wanna sell ? Im trying to complete my exahust ( need manifolds ) and free up the intake tract. Still at a loss as to what to do as for mods, but im sure i'll figure it outl.

OKay gang, how about under drive pulleys ?

RonzSC
01-18-2003, 02:15 AM
I bougth a used Gamma Fuel Vaporizor from BA Hwycoper that was fairly expensive, but is rumored to be well worth the expense.
My first try I got it a little too hot and melted my thrust vector diffusers. It is a little tricky.

p.s. I would get the top-end lean condition resolved first bro!

C'mon Ron, I thought that was a secret!!!

I think NASA had already leaked the news to the media, due to the time-motion sensor readings.

Technical mumbo jumob ron lol. The car is not leaning out on me as i said in another post, the car just feels like it runs out of breathe in the upper rpm bands.. sort of like have a long runners on a small block chevy: you'll get great low to mid range but at high rpm's it gives up, not because its leaning out, but because the intake cant get air to the engine fast enough... awww something i know about chevy's lol

Just for kicks....do you have a 5% to trial run ?

I think that is the 10% the more and more we talk. Do you want to borrow my stock '90 SC puley to see if there is a difference?
Bring it over and we can change it over.

Don't worry about the mods as the speed will come as you work to get everything stable with what you have and then go to another level. Considering your Dyno run, you need to do some work to get that beast under control. Then go for the next addition. It doesn't make any sense to keep spending money and never realize the money spent and getting it to the the rear wheels.

blksc
01-18-2003, 04:16 AM
The pulley is only a 5% over drive.

blksc
01-18-2003, 04:17 AM
As for the dyno run i'd love, and i do mean love to have it dyno'd again, things would be much different

At Dyno Day you told me you were running a ten percent od pulley. I guess you were just pulling my lanyard.
Ok I got it now....

Did i say 10 ? sorry i must have been all excited and not thinking about what i was saying. Anywho, i picked up a new coil pack and wires to ensure a good spark. The car performed noticably stronger with new plugs, and im sure my wires have had it.
