Depends on who you are. Jim and I have agreed not to throw in the NOS or use dry ice but if you want easy power and only stress the engine when the need arises then go for it. It's probably the best dollar for dollar power adder you can buy.

I say do wut u gotta do to run the #'s.. You can go around saying yea u ran 13.50's with your SC on motor.. but the SC next to you just blew by you on a 12.80 run and beat your 13.50 ~~~ to the finish line.. It aint cheating if you win.. its called being faster than the other guy :)

I always am in the mind set, its "Run what you brought, and it that isn't enough well you go home". Unless we are talking about a class that says N2O is illegal, like Pro Stock.

Just remember it's a cutting torch waiting to happen inside your engine (I dare you to go just a LITTLE bit lean). Dennis, I think it's even more fun to kick a guy's ~~~ when HE's on the juice and you aren't. heh heh :rollin:

Every motor that has been odified is a time bomb waiting to explode.. Its just a matter of time... But if that same guy with the $15k invested in his non-juiced motor gets beat by a guy with $4k in mods and a $1000 NOS system.. its gonna look pretty sad..lol

Although supercharging is hard to beat for total destructive power! The combination is just awesome.

N.O.S. is a power adder just like a supercharger or turbocharger(s) The difference is you don't have to refill the "boosted" engine. I love the stuff. On a non-boosted engine it can't be heard( unless I use my purge button :) Its all fair to me

I have a friend who argues with me alot about NOS being "artificial horsepower". I say that it is the same as running race fuel or even slicks for that matter.
He drives a Corvette so I tell him that his plastic car is cheating cuz it isnt made out of metal. My nine year old calls his Corvette the Barbie car. ha ha ha.
Can anyone say that slicks are cheating? or even a V8 is cheating? I don't think so.

a friend of mine compared nos to a girl stuffing her bra, draw your own conclusions...

The only time Nos is cheating is when person is asked if there running Nos and say NO then push the button.
Thats also same as saying My motor is Stock when its stroked
and full of go fast goodies. But as a tool to improve ones ride its not Cheating its just another bolt-on.
Nos, supercharging, Turbo's, can all be looked at as a form of cheating form some one that don't have it too.
I like Turbo more myself but anything that makes a ride better works for me.

Do the guys running small block call the guys with big blocks cheaters?
You do what it takes to go faster...thats the whole point of drag racing!

Ok if you consider nitrous cheeting then you can consider premium gas, superchargers, big tires Racing is racing you push the gas down and go the first guy to the line wins.

It's only cheating, according to law enforcement. That's when they take your car and use it for themselves to catch the bad guys.
