whats the alternator on 1997-2000 Ford F150 Pickup 5.4L
and was it used on anything else ..pully on it looks interesting to me and would like to find one one to size it up ..thanks if you could help...dave

Hey Dave

The alternator on the SC motors was a weird Mitsubishi 110 amp that Ford didn't use on anything else, as you probably know. Not sure if the pulley or the complete alt. from the newer F-150 could be swapped on or not. They have either a 95 amp or 130 amp alternator, depending on the vehicle equipment. Listing shows the alt. pulley on the 5.4L as either 61 or 65 mm. The listing for the SC pulley doesn't give me the diameter of course, just the V8 or N/A 3.8.

Ah, I see ... so how does that compare to the diameter of the SC pulleys then ??

The replacement 61 mm pulley from Ford is about $33.
