I have a small leak at the bottom of my rad and I don't know if I can fix it. The best price I could get on a brand new one is $500. Am I better to try and fix the old one, or just bite the bullet and get the new one. If so, how hard is it to change one. I know the IC tubes have to come off, but other than that how big a job is it. Any info would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Dale, if your 90 has the original rad, it should be a brass tank unit that can be re-cored. Another choice, I have in stock the newer plastic / aluminum style, there is one part number from Ford that is $256 + taxes.

Get in touch with me if you're interested in that one.

thanks

Dale for price comparison, the rad I had re-cored to a trip[le core was $250. Les or Bill can give the # for the guy who does it. I was able to keep the brass tank too!

Just figured I pass that along to you.

I'm having mine re-cored for $180-$200 at K&H radiator. Maybe you might consider that option?

Les and I went to Radman.

We got triple core dense-fin copper fitted re-cores.
