"Help! Phantom noise in my bird"..What is it?

I am the owner of 95 super coupe 5 speed manual transmission.
I have taken her to 2 shops but neither have pinpointed what this noise is and where it is coming from...and it is driving me crazy..The noise very closely resembles a noise you would get if you were driving over a wood plank road..It is not a metal noise, nor is it a squeak. The mechanic even drove it, heard the noise, and even put it up on the lift but still does not know what it is..Two months ago, I had the struts and lower control arms replaced, thinking that was probably it, but it is still making this annoying noise...I am having no steering problems, etc....just this noise. Help!!!!!!!!!!!!

Check your sway bar end links. I had a mysterious noise similar to what your describing. Got those replaced and solved the noise problem.

Also check your ball joints.
