Here is a list of some of the original equipment Ford, and aftermarket products on special through Fines Ford Lincoln Sales in Bolton. We keep many SC specific dealer-only parts in stock, many items we have on the shelf Ford does not even keep in their Canadian warehouses.

UNFORTUNATELY, we are unable to sell these parts across the border to residents of other countries ... the dealer agreement with Ford of Canada prohibits us from exporting parts or vehicles. Differential parts

8.8" ring & pinion gear sets ... various ratios, starting at $289.00 plus taxes.

FRPP 8.8" traction-lock rebuild kit ... $109.00 plus taxes.

FRPP 8.8" traction lock kit with carbon fibre material (OEM from 03-04 Cobra) ... $149.00 plus taxes.

Ford friction modifier additive, $4.49 plus taxes, 4 oz. (113 ml) bottle, for traction-lock differentials. Also good as an additive for notchy M5R2 manual transmissions.

8.8" full bearing rebuild set ... $175.00 plus taxes. This will be a complete bearing and seal kit, carrier bearings and cups, pinion bearings and cups, pinion seal, and also includes the half-shaft pilot bearings and seals on either side of the housing ... those ones would not come with a typical 8.8" rebuild kit for a solid axle rearend.

Transmission stuff

M5R2 manual shifter rebuild kit ... $54.36 plus taxes. This includes the pieces necessary to tighten up your sloppy 5-speed shifter. The small rubber boot has been discontinued by Ford, but one from an F-150 can be substituted, if you slot the 3 mounting screw holes ... $56.81 plus taxes.

Mustang Cobra leather manual shift knob, $43.93 plus taxes, this dark charcoal grey knob is very similar in size and shape to the now discontinued original SC knob, for less than 1/3 the price !! Same thread size as original goes directly on to the stock shifter.

Clutch pedal lever bushing, $11.34 plus taxes. Replace your old, worn out plastic bushing before it wears through to the pin on the clutch pedal.

Clutch pedal shaft bushings, $3.65 each plus taxes.

CenterForce dual-friction clutch set, $419.00 plus taxes, for 89 - 93 SC.

AOD throttle valve cable brass bushing kit, $3.63 plus taxes. Replaces the original nylon grommet at the throttle body, which deteriorates with age.

AOD throttle valve cable, $97.20 plus taxes. These are discontinued by Ford, but I have ordered some in from the obsolete parts supplier in the U.S.

AOD trans. filter and gasket kit, $22.82 plus taxes.

4R70W upgrade deep trans. pan and filter, $83.76 plus taxes ... for 1994 and 1995 cars. Does not include pan gasket, as they are reusable molded rubber gaskets on these pans.

For the 4.6 guys ... 2003 Marauder torque converter, approx. 2500 rpm stall speed, with the correct flexplate & all hardware, $379.02 + taxes. Extra $70.00 + taxes without a core return.

Suspension parts

Motorcraft original replacement shock absorbers for all years SC, these are the Tokico auto-ride control units.
front shocks ... $189.13 each plus taxes.
rear shocks ... OBSOLETE

Motorcraft OEM front shock absorbers for 96 - 97 Sport package LX 4.6, we have one pair left at $95.31 each shock. These are discontinued from Ford. They make a nice upgrade for a non-Sport package car, or can be used as a non-ride control shock for any year of SC.

KYB GR2 non-adjustable shock absorbers for all years of MN-12 cars, these eliminate the ride control system on an SC.
front shocks ... $89.25 each plus taxes.
rear shocks ... $41.93 each plus taxes.

Motorcraft greaseable front upper control arms, $115.23 each plus taxes, includes upper ball joints and bushings.

Eibach Pro-Kit lowering springs, $359.00 plus taxes. This is a set of 4, 1-1/2" drop, progressive-rate springs.

Rear coil spring insulators, $25.46 each plus taxes. Four required, these should be changed when swapping coil springs.

Rear suspension knuckle polyurethane bushing set, $150.00 plus taxes. Full set to do all three positions on both rear knuckles. Limited quantity available.

Brake components

Motorcraft replacement rotors, $71.95 each, plus taxes.

Replacement front wheel hub & bearing assy., $126.14 each plus taxes ... for 1991 - 1997 cars, can also be used on 1989 - 1990 if rotors are replaced as well ... including new locking hub nut.

Mustang front hub & bearing assy. for 5 on 4-1/2" bolt pattern conversion, $101.67 each plus taxes, includng new hub nut.

Replacement press-in rear wheel bearing, $56.58 each plus taxes ... including new locking hub nut and snap ring.

Mustang Cobra rear bearing hub for 5 on 4-1/2" bolt pattern conversion, $107.73 each plus taxes, including new press-in bearing, hub nut and snap ring.

13" front rotors for 'Cobra' brake conversion, genuine OE Ford supplied by Brembo ... new lower price of $95.96 each plus taxes. These are in 5 on 4-1/2" stud pattern, would need to be re-drilled for stock T-Bird 5 on 4-1/4" pattern.

NEW, not rebuilt PBR dual-piston calipers for the 13" front brake conversion $222.40 each exchange plus taxes ... includes brake pads and mounting anchors. These have a satin dark grey finish with no logo for the 13" rotors. $70.00 extra each without an exchange.

NEW, not rebuilt PBR dual-piston calipers for the bolt-on upgrade over the 10.9" factory rotors on 93 - 95 cars, recent Ford price reduction, $159.99 each exchange plus taxes. These have a plain cast aluminium finish. $70.00 extra each without an exchange.

Cooling system

Motorcraft replacement serpentine belts for all years 3.8 SC
main drive belt ... $49.72 plus taxes

Motorcraft radiator hoses for all years 3.8 SC ... I managed to get some of these from an obsolete parts supplier out of the United States.

Motorcraft radiator cap, $11.62 plus taxes.

Motorcraft 195 deg. replacement thermostat, $15.99 plus taxes, includes correct SC gasket.

Motorcraft 180 deg. thermostat, $12.99 plus taxes, includes correct SC-specific gasket. Recommended only with a calibrated custom chip or EEC Tuner, to compensate for the different running temp.

Tune-up and Maintenance parts

Motorcraft spark plug wire set, $58.39 plus taxes, fits all SC.

Motorcraft double platinum spark plugs
stock replacement AWSF 34 PP, $8.96 each plus taxes.

Motorcraft copper core spark plugs colder for high boost applications,
equivalent to Autolite 103 AGSF 22 C, $2.95 each plus taxes. Recommended gap with these is .035".

Motorcraft PCV valve, sorry, the correct SC-specific valve is OBSOLETE.

Motorcraft fuel filter, $16.95 plus taxes. Please specify if vehicle is before or after 11/90 production (split part way into 1991 model year production).

Motorcraft FL 400 S oil filter, $5.99 plus taxes, fits all SC.

NEW!! Motorcraft 5W50 full synthetic engine oil, $5.99 per quart plus taxes. Specified for the 5.4 SC engine in the Ford GT supercar and Shelby GT-500. If it's good enough for a 500 hp 5.4, it's probably good enough for our 3.8 SC. :D For a never rebuilt high mileage SC engine, it's probably advisable to go with thicker oil, such as 10W30 or 10W40.

Engine and related parts

Motorcraft idle-air bypass control (IAC), $117.74 plus taxes, fits all years SC.

Motorcraft EGR valve, $62.99 plus taxes, fits all years SC equipped with EGR.

Motorcraft camshaft position sensor, $54.69 plus taxes, fits 89 - 95 SC.

Motorcraft crankshaft position sensor, $190.22 plus taxes, fits 89 - 93 SC. These are now obsolete from Ford, I was able to get 3 ordered in from the U.S. before they were gone.

Motorcraft crankshaft position sensor, $55.82 plus taxes, fits 94 - 95 SC.

Motorcraft alternator, $162.78 plus taxes, with exchange. BRAND NEW, not rebuilt, fits 89 - 95 SC. These had been discontinued from Ford, but seem to be available again.

Motorcraft starter motor, $111.10 plus taxes, with exchange. Remanufactured unit, fits 89 - 95 SC.

Power steering pump filler tube, $25.51 plus taxes. Specific to 3.8 SC.

Just to let everyone know, Fines Ford Lincoln has access to any of the products available from Cross Canada Auto Parts.

They have a wide range of replacement body parts for many makes and models. We prefer to sell OEM sheet metal if possible, but in the case of cars like the T-Birds and Cougars, Ford has discontinued many of the pieces already. Rocker panels are $47.95 each + taxes. They also carry replacement headlight assemblies, which are no longer available new from Ford for the 89 - 95 cars.

Guys, our dealership is now set up with an alternate source for OEM Ford parts that have gone obsolete, and are no longer available through regular Ford channels. It is a company that deals directly with Ford in the U.S., buying up some of their inventory as it is made obsolete by Ford. This is for any OEM Ford stuff, not just SC parts.

We are billed at the last price showing in the Ford U.S. price list, before the part was discontinued, and the shipping and brokerage is handled from their side, sent by ground freight ... only additional charge is the GST. So then I would just have to convert it to Canadian dollars, which thankfully doesn't change the price much these days, and put on a small markup for the dealership of course. As mentioned in the first post in this thread, I can only sell through the dealership to Canadian residents.

Hopefully this will turn out to be a good source for us, and I will be able to help out with more of the OEM stuff to keep our cars going, and looking good.
