Which Pistons for my 89SC engine rebuild??

I am getting ready to rebuild my backup engine for my 89 SC, which is from a 92 supercoupe. I was wondering what limits I should observe for an overbore (.030, .040, ect...). Am I limited to SC pistons, or since I am over boring the engine, can I use a custom size piston for a different motor (forged or hypereutectic type)? As long as the piston pin height matches the SC pistons, shouldn't I be able to use a pison from another engine and just match the bore to the new piston size?

Just some questions, if anyone can help me out, please fell free.

Thanks

Which pistons for my sc engine

I went .030 over. Ialso used forged eagle pistons that are built to sc. specs. Tom morana sells them, they are I believe offered up to .040 over. Or Coy Miller has a set with a reversr dome. I dont think I would use just any piston that fits. The configuration of the top must be for a reason. But that is just my opinion. Tim
