Im trying to remove the fuel line coupling underhood right near throttle body but dont have the tool. anyone know of other ways to take this thing off?

you really need the tool. It's a captive spring type of retention where there is a coil spring all the way around the inside of the bludge. This captive spring retains the fuel line against a ridge built into the inner part of the fuel line. The tool is just a collar that slips a thin piece of plastic in between the captive spring and the ridge on the fuel line, allowing the spring to ride over the ridge as you pull it apart.

Auto parts stores have cheap ones for sale , cheap. Less than $15.00 USD.

Without the tool you would have to fab something up, but it's rare to have stiff plastic around the house. And if you try to do it out of steel you could damage the sealing surfaces of the fuel lines.
