Oh this is an easy one. Its rather obvious that the wrist pin I.D. is .005" too thick.

Actually that's a hipo 289 rod. It's curved for handling more stresses.

Your both wrong, that is an aftermarket rod, for use with BOS (Banana Oxide System)

Something wrong

Is it one of those short stroke rods custom made to make the crank turn faster. I had a few of those in my last engine and for some reason it broke the pistons. Maybe straight would be easier to fit in the block. Tim

I thougt it was a circle track car's rod, for handling curves. Quarter milers run the straight ones.

Your all wrong. It is a poor man stroker kit using a 4.2 truck crank.

Thats one of those new flex rods. Gives you a better power curve
