Engine Swap Setup

I HAVE SUCCESSFULLY(?) TRANS PLANTED A 90 SC ENGINE INTO A 94 SC,,,HAVE CHANGED THE FRONT COVER AND MADE A CRANK TRIGGER HARMONIC BALANCER FROM THE TRIGGER WHEEL OFF A STD(NON SC) 1994 3.8 BALANCER AND THE OLD 1990 HARMONIC BALANCER (A LITTLE MACHINING TO MAKE PROPER SPACER) AND SET THE POSITION TO THE SAME TIMING ACCORDING TO THE KEYWAY THEN INSTALLED COIL JUMPER HARNESS...THE QUESTION IS,,,, DOES THE ELECTRONICS ADJUST THE TIMING (10 DEGREES) AS YOU ARE STARTING OR DO I HAVE THE TIMING OFF???? I TOOK ALL THE PLUGS OUT,,ATTACHED THE #1 PLUG TO THE WIRE AND CLAMPED IT TO A GROUND,,,TURNED THE ENGINE OVER AS IF TO START AND CHECKED THE TIMING,,,IT WAS CLOSE BUT FAR ENOUGH ADVANCED THAT MAYBE IF IT WERE TO START IT WOULD CORRECT TO THE 10 DEGREE TIMING,,,DO NOT WANT TO SCREW IT UP AT THIS POINT DOES ANY ONE KNOW THE ANSWER OR WHERE TO FIND IT.......THANKS IN ADVANCE YOU PEOPLE HAVE BEEN A HUGE HELP WITH THIS PROJECT
 
Did you remove the cam position sensor assembly from the engine? If so, was it reinstalled correctly? I'm not really following what you did with the crank position sensor, but I beleive the newer SC's ran a different style. I think you are saying you made something up to make the newer style sensor work with the old dampener right?
