Ran my car for the first (6 ;-) time tonight. I'm incredibly disappointed with the results. The temperature was somewhere around 60 degrees, maybe a few degrees colder. Here are the times I turned:
# R/T 60 1/8 MPH 1000 1/4 MPH
1 1.190 2.902 10.591 72.45 13.469 15.875 94.43
2 1.199 2.338 9.552 72.65 12.584 15.352 78.38
3 1.202 2.342 9.747 72.00 12.708 15.321 85.55
4 1.335 2.438 9.979 71.96 12.976 15.643 83.64
5 1.234 2.505 10.034 71.50 13.045 15.726 82.93
6 .701 4.023 12.263 69.81 15.331 17.956 86.20
7 .679 2.603 10.790 66.02 13.999 16.714 83.52
For the 6th run I somehow ended up in neutral in between 1st and 2nd... oops.
The problem I was having was that the boost gauge was pegging at 15+ which worked ok for a bit and then either something started leaking, or the computer decided to retard the spark because the engine backed way off and I had no way to get it back... didn't matter if I up shifted or not.
Needless to say, I'm a bit disappointed. Keeping in mind it was my first time out, I'm still quite certain that I should be running mid-14s at worst ... maybe I'll try it with the stock SC pulley back in??
