cutting out sc...

Since it looks like it will be never when i'll actually get to drive my anniversary....how about my summer car?...It cuts out once in a while...just dies out...if I have enough speed , it kicks back in but once it embarrased me while passing a string of cars.....any ideas?...
crank sensor?

Plugger fuel filter, bad grounds, bad ignition are the first things that come to mind but you need to give or info to help any further.

I had the same problem just befor my fuel pump took a dump. Check your fuel presure.
key on engine .....35 to 45 psi
at idle.....30 to 45 psi

If you have an aftermarket air intake, make sure the connection is tight between the maf and the throttle body, mine came loose at the Throttle body and the car choked and then shut itself off.

thanks for the help.....I'll check it out as soon as the freeze goes away....after reading thru all the pages of tech questions , I guess I should consider myself lucky that my 89 has only been apart once for the head gasket recall and has run ever since....
