So this week I am exploring how much timing I can put into the WOT curve with 100 octane gas and 10% od. What do y'all think ??

Fred,

You're running a CMRE Stage II, right? Have you (or CMRE) dyno'ed yet?

By the way, I'm really jealous. Just today, I was trying to talk my wife into the ~$6200 for a CMRE Stage I if ye olde stock motor ever needs to come out. Not likely, she said. We'll see, I said.

cmre stage 2 heads on top of custom 4.3 block, cam and pistons.

472 hp at 5300, >460 from 4600 to 5600
566 lb-ft at 3600
24.9 mpg at 80 mph

And you did all the mods for the increased fuel economy, so as to be more environmentally friendly, right? Maybe I could sell my wife on more engine mods that way...

Fred,
I don't feel that I can honestly vote without first hand experience, therefore I need you to drop by and swap the Blues Z for my red FrankenSCtien for a week or so.

Shall I expect you by Christams time?

So far, 34° max, but it's in late, and I'm gobbling fuel (this will have to be a track-only tune up). The z-rated Remingtons are doing a lot better at grip than the Comp TA's and seem to do better on ice, too. They were much cheaper, too. How about that ? Probably only last 30K miles . . .
