I asked this question yesterday but noone replied. Which rear wheel dyno is more acurate. I had my 93 sc dynoed on a Mustang dyno itrequires that you put the weight of your car in. The dyno numbers that are posted on this site dont. Which is more acurate? If the computer does not know the weight of your car how does it know how much to load the wheel ?

Sorry but not everyone can answer everyone's questions. Search the web for these more common questions.

5 minutes at www.yahoo.com looking for "dynojet more accurate" found plenty of hits.

I think the dyno you ran on was a type that can be dynamically loaded to simulate more real world circumstances.

Either way, the numbers it spit out should be right. But if you gave the wrong weight, it could throw off the math calculations they use.

thanks Mike, those sites explained everything i wanted to know. I taking my 90sc in two weeks to have it dynoed. I'm going to get 0 to 60 1/4 mile and top speed runs. I dont think anyone has ever posted those off a dyno before.

It takes a special dyno to do that, which it sounds like you have access to. But those measurements on those types of Dyno's are not considered valid comparisons against a similar Dyno somewhere else.

That's why you usually just see the DynoJet type Dyno numbers. The can be compared fairly reliably across all other dyno's due to the very specific nature of how they work. Their repeatability is much greater than a static type dyno or doing 1/4 and 0 to 60 measurements on.

Good luck, and feel free to post all of your numbers.
