If anyone has any INPUT on using these IRIDIUM SPARK PLUGS I would appreciate it greatly! THE SALES HYPE may not be TRUE for supercoupes!!?

I'm using Denso's and haven't had any trouble in 20k miles. Someday I may dyno test them against standard Autolite 2543s.

I haven't ran them in either of my SCs yet. I have heard several guys that have had detonation problems using them and they solved that problem.

I can attest that they are good plugs. They came stock in my 93 Acura Legend and when I changed them at 100,000 miles they still looked new. I only changed them because the maintenance schedule said to change them at 100,000 and not because they were worn out.

I haven't experienced any detonation problems with either my 90 or 95 SCs yet. But if I do I will try the Densos.

If you search the tech forum for the topic you'll find many comments. It seems in all cases they are a good choice. The main issue being some plugs can misfire under high boost conditions. The Motorcraft or Autolite double platinum have been proven winners. But the Irridium units are good to. I'm not sure if anyone has really determined if they are worth the extra cost over the Autolites.

Here is a thread where they are discussed:

I was able to run quite a bit of timing and boost without detonation with these plugs. Definitely worth the money.

I've had a set of the NGKs in my car for about 9 months. So far so good.
