The most action has been on cars going for $1,000.00, not to say yours isn't worth your asking price.
BTW, you win the award for the longest sentence without any punctuation.

I have been a member of SCCoA for two years, since I bought my SC. I am also getting ready to sell my car and I have come to a conclusion about selling your car through this website, or forum. Since everyone here knows about the supercoupe and PROBABLY has one, they are not AS interested in buying a SC. When I walked on to the small lot I bought mine from, I was awestruck at the awesome condition it was (AND STILL IS) and how fast and intimidating it was. These cars have a magic power that attracts people who want a very quick car with great looks and total luxury. So anyway, I think you are better off selling in the Auto Trader or outside of this site because noone is gonna give you what you believe the car is worth. I am asking $6,500 for my 1991 SC with 140K. I bought the car for $5,000 and have done at least $5,000 worth of upgrades and maintenance, and the car IS WORTH $6,500!!!!!!!!! Now, I would take a little lower but not much. It has all the things listed in my signature (and tons more) and is in NEAR MINT (literally) physical apperance. It looks AWESOME, drives AWESOME, has no major problems. The point is, set up a Classified Ad on this site, but also do the Auto Trader and Newspaper thing until you get close to what you want for it, that is the only way to squeeze some of your money back out of these cars!!!
ps- If anyone is interested in MY car, please go to:

I would disagree with you on this point. I believe most of us are very interested in buying another SC. I believe that if you watched this board you would have seen a few cars sell vedry quickly to the members on this bozard. The rub comes when peiople are asking a good price, but people here are looking for bargains. That means cars that need work and are selling in the $1,000.00 range. We do most of our own work and blown headgaskets or other work is not necessarily a detractor, but razther something that would make the car more economical to purchase and, thereby more affordable.
The $1K threshold may not be a place for this board but may have a better shot on the Classified section.

Trever,
Don't sweat it man. I know you must have poured a lot of time and money into yours and you think its worth the 3500, but reality is, it's not. Put it up on ebay and list it as a RARE thunderbird and I'm sure some idiot will give you 5k  Seriously though, don't be dissapointed by our comments, we just know a little better.
For one, Jose (SuperCoupe007) has a mint SC with low miles and I'm telling you, this thing is as close to off the show room floor as it gets, and he didnt pay TOO much for it.

Hey Mike,
I am selling my SC because I would like to start going hiking and camping and to the desert and stuff and I want a Jeep Wrangler. I can't really do that with my precious SC. Also I am a college student and do not have a job right now so I can not afford to sup up my car the way I would like to. Plus, I have kinda grown out of this car and REALLY want a Jeep to be able to go outdoors and pursue my other interests! If ANYONE would like to come check out my car, PLEASE EMAIL ME!!! I am happy to show it to anyone! I totally understand your point Ron, but in my case, my SC has gotten ~$5,000 in quality maintenance and paid $5,000 for the car just 2 years ago, and only put 10k on it since then. If you are willing to wait for the best offer and don't NEED to get rid of your car, then you will get more for it I believe. Anyway, thanks for responding and PLEASE look at my car and let me know what you think, I will put up some more pics of it soon!!!
Kyle
