1990/1994 front end swap

In the process of tracking down parts for my 1990 repair job I noticed the 94/95 uses the same fenders. I already have to replace the whole bumper assy (cover and structural) and the headlights. One's broken and both are very yellowed.

Is there any reason I can't bolt up the front end parts from a 1994? I know the hood is different but is there anything else that would have to be changed? I've got access to a 94 but finding another 89-93 SC around here is proving to be a little difficult.

You don't need an SC for the fenders or the structural parts of the bumper.

Any Mercury Cougar or Thunderbird will bolt fenders up as well as the structural pars for the bumper. The only thing you'll need to mod is drill a couple holes to add the bracket for the ground effects that you need to remove from the other fender. (below is a pic of the holes needed to mount the ground effects bracket)

The bumper cover is the only thing you need to search for as the Cougar and many LX are quite different.

I took my replacement fender of a 1991 Cougar. $20 at a local salvage yard:
