The Super 8 is going to let SC's back after all of the wheelies last year?

Ron,
I tried Days Inn and they said "Booked" for the weekend. Then I mentioned "All-Ford Bill" and it STILL didn't work for me. Don't blow it by not saying "All-Ford-Bill" initially...looks like they don't give you a 2nd chance. <img src=http://www.ezboard.com/intl/aenglish/images/emoticons/ohwell.gif ALT=":\">

Found a room at Super 8 North in Middlesex for $72.95, where I stayed last year.

We had some "difficulties" arranging a block of rooms at the Super 8, but if you call the 1-800 number you can book it on your own.

For the Days Inn, you need to call the local number and mention "All-Ford-Bill".

Thanks Ron for the info. I have just booked my room at Days Inn. See everyone at Carlisle (hopefully with my SC this time).

Which hotel is the preferred hotel? I want to stay at the hotel where most everyone will be staying. Yes, I plan on going this year.

Duane,

They are directly across the street from one another and the street is about 20 feet wide and not heavily traveled. In my opinion the Days Inn is nicer, mainly because it is newer, but I would say most people are going to end up staying at the Super 8 because they have more rooms available and it is cheaper. However, we reserved the conference room at the Days Inn for people to congregate in at night because the Super 8 has no such room. Bottom line is that regardless of where you stay you can't lose.

Hey Duane,
Please let us know where you will be staying, then I can confidently say the the "other hotel" will be the preferred place.

Is the $90 for the weekend, or per night? Thanks for the info!!

That's the per night rate, but if you share a room with somebody it sure does help with the cost.

Bill,

Well, I planned on sleeping in the street beside the curb and alternating between the hotels so no one would want to stay at either one. If I got to lonely, I figured I could flash some leg and be picked up by some beautiful women who drove by. So, now, I guess everyone will want to stay at different hotels.

Thursday 1/24

I called Days Inn and they told me they were completely booked (probably because I told them I was with SCCoA).

In the past, I stayed at the hotel Santillo. Only 1.5 hours from the show and it is free. It also saves on embarassment when you animals start acting up.

(I can promise you no one will be doing wheelies in my driveway)

I wouldn't be so quick to say that Joe, I may still have my car by then

For those who care, the Rodekill is apparently "booked" as well. Methinks it might have something to do with the multiple visits from the local constables last year... Damn that Mendola!

I called the Super Duper 8 a couple hours ago. I think I got the Shim itself on the line. Anyway I was told that they were gettingcalls left and right for those days, and that was the last room.

Hope for cancellations guys.

I can't beleive this. Last year we called about a week before the show, and got a prime spot at the Rodeway, hollering distance from Room 408.

I called the Days Inn at 3:50 PM, January 25, 2002 and they are sold out. I called the 1-800 800-8000 for the Super 8 and was told they still have rooms remaining. I'd suggest getting on these rooms ASAP.

I just booked a room at The Clarion. I was told it's a decent place about 3 miles away. So, as of now, they still have rooms. I got a "2 queen bed/first floor" for $95.95 per night.

The Clarion is very nice, as per my post about those who may need a room. You will really enjoy the quality, and you will only be 5-10 minutes from the fairgrounds, same as everybody staying at the Days Inn and Super 8.

I've stayed at the Clarion for the last 3 years and really like it. It has in indoor pool so if you bring kids or significant others there are things to do. It has large lots with room to park and hang out.
I've also met other show goers every year and the "friendly" factor has been quite high.

Nice place, give them a call.
