ive been in car audio stuff for a few years and i really got into it. I know the stuff on crutch field looks nice and you might think its a good deal, until you shop around, i was about to pay 450 for a kicker L7 15. then i was told about etronics.com and not only did i buy one of them i bought 2. i paid 260 a piece and bought a so so 2000 watt amp. all with shipping was 776 bucks. its acutally a awsome deal if ya do the math. and another place i would recommend is nexxon.com, both sites have good stuff for farely cheap. if you can find anywhere else cheaper than this let me know. as for ebay i wouldn't take the risk of buying used stereo equipment cause you never know. well i hope this helps. I you have any questions on stereo stuff let me know id be glad to help anyone out

i usually look at soundomain to findout what i want, then i go to the internet search feature on my browser, and type in the model number and i can usually find it for 10-20% cheaper online. for example, i was lookin at there 12 inch JVC subs, they have em on sale on soundomain for 99 bucks a peice. i found a site that had em for 75 bucks a peice.]
i ordered em from the site though, and waited for two weeks when i had chose 3 day shipping. called em up and they said that they didnt have em in stock. i have bought stuff from sounddomain.com before and recieved my stuff ASAP but the prices are a bit higher than some other sites.

oh yea, another price comparison. i bought my pioneer DEH-7400 online but i found it on sounddomain. SD wanted 230 for it and i found it on a different site for 209. then the other day at school this kid had a crutchfield catalog and i looked up the player i had purchased. crutchfield wanted 330 for that headunit!!!!!!!

you have got to be kidding me...

Etronics.com has the din and a hlaf Alpine I was planningn to buy in a couple of month's from Crutchfield for $564, Crutch is $799!!

rediculous, thanks for posting this site, good one.

FWIW, I purchased my clear corners from sounddomain.com. And I couldn't beat the $41 shipped to my door from anywhere else.

Yeah but...

Cruthfield will bend over backwards to help you out.. I've always been VERY impressed with their customer service.

all truths!

crutchfield is mucher higher than you can find elsewhere....but indeed, their service is great! i've only bought inexpensive things from them, because of the price issue. but they arrived in like 3 days for standard shipping. so my method is : go crutchfield for quick reliable service, go elsewhere for price ;) thanks for the websites too guys, i'll check them out. i've been ripped off $160 from a deadbeat SELLER off ebay....i've learned my lesson! :)

Etronics gets a double thumbs up from me. :)

I bought 2 pairs of Pioneer 6x8 speakers for my bro's Explorer 2 years ago for $10 more than 1 pair from anywhere else (Crutch, Best Buy, Circuit City etc).

I also just ordered the new Pioneer Premier DEH-P550MP ($199 CD/MP3/WMA/XM ready) head unit and Premeir CDX-P686 6 disc CD changer ($120 CD-R/CDRW). The total bill to my door was $345!!! This new head unit is frickin' amazing. A friend I work with did car audio up until 3 years ago. The 2 of us are going to have to study the manual just to tune the damn thing. Cross overs... treble boost to the front or rear.. bass boost... eq setttings... custom eq settings with boosts.... 3 RCA outs...50Wx4....loudness control...remote control.... Ugh...

I'm gonna have to take a training class just to use it. ;) :p

Crutchfield doesn't even have the new P550MP, but they do sell the 'regular' P5500MP head unit for $40 more than I paid for the Premier model. They also don't have the newer CD changed, but sell the older one for $30 more than I paid.

Etronics has done great for service times too. Although, they're only a couple hundred miles away. But I have received anything I've ever ordered in 3-5 business days.

Later,
Steve

Crutchfield does have incredibly good service, but the prices are high.

Don't count out Sounddomain completley though, there are times when they switch off with some of the others for the best deals available on the 'net.
