do you ever have to change the fuel pump if it is still working? it's got the original 1993 sc...would it pump less efficiently after 10yrs
and how often should you change the fuel filter? thanks

Fuel filter officially is once every 30K miles, I think. I've seen some people say it should be as often as every 15K miles.

As far as the pump goes, if you're not pinging or anything like that, I wouldn't worry about it. You could always get a fuel pressure gauge. Then only worry about it if you notice your pressure less than normal.

They also start to growl much like having a blender full of gravel in your back seat when they get older, if it makes noise chage it before it leaves you high and dry out in the middle of nowhere.

its cheap insurance to change it every year. They are a eight dollar item.
