If you're absolutely sure you have plenty of gas in the tank, there is a way to test the fuel pump before you go to the trouble of changing it.
It is not safe, but will work, just don't smoke or have anything that can start a fire around. It takes 2 people, 1 to push in on the clutch or brake (5speed or Auto) and try to start the car while the other pushes in on the schradder valve. Cover the valve with a rag so the gas doesn't shoot everywhere. If you get a lot of gas on the rag, then the pump is fine. When I got my car back from the insurance co. after it was written off, I couldn't get it started, I got a squirt of gas from the schradder valve when the key was off, but not while cranking. It turnrd out that the storage co had drained the tank. I put a few gallons in and it still didn't start until I tighted the IC tubes and intake connections which I had loosened before I gave it back to the insurance co. so other bidders would not be able to start it and not offer much at auction, and it worked, after 3 auctions they came back to me and took my original offer. Good luck
