Ode to Spring

Spring is sprung

Da Boids is risen

The Kitty Kats deir tires spinnin

Boost is good, we hear folks say

And so our cars come out to play.

Shift her once

Shift her twice

Give her hell and shift her thrice

Burn those tires and smoke dat clutch

The AOD's can only hope for such

And so begins another season

To break our cars , no rhyme.....no reason

Pay it here, and pay it there

Until we lose our underwear.

Don't get me wrong... I think that's a really great poem!

...It's just that, you must be really bored without Anne around?!

:D

Cheers,

Sean

5-SPEED RULES!

True enough Ryan. If they made a quick-change transmission...I'd be using an AODE at the track.

But...no such luck.

Off the top of my head....

'twas the week before spring, and all in the club
not a wheel was turning, not even a hub

cars still in storage, waiting to start
it's hard tell my car, and the dust apart

HGs are blown ,but soon will be fixed
it's a curse with these cars, you can't beat the nix

off to the races, all ready to go
damn if I break something, get towed from the show

there goes Les Borda, with another great pass
thank god for new HGs, and super race gas

Greg Coleman, the man, throws the Cougar in gear
this guy's balls to the wall, and drives with no fear

even with 4.6s lurking around town
it doesn't quite matter, SCs own the crown

the club is still growing, better each day
a place we can hang out, do burnouts and play

we all drive our SCs, with precision and care
passing the Hondas, as they wonder and stare

postwhores a posting, posting away
gotta love the board, in a "technical" way

all of a sudden, there arose such a clatter
I rose to the door, to see what was the matter

sure enough all was well, as the nice weather starts
it was just the mailman, with my new hi-po parts!

that Matteson sure is an asset to the club
Even when his wife says, "I hate that car bub"!

El Presidente, fast eddy, our parts source and more
I know you like those rims, what a great score

Now Paul, now Jim, now Jason and Steve
gets your cars ready, it's already spring's eve

off to the dyno, to pull new numbers and smile
hopefully the car will stay together, this time for a while

what makes our club better, even more than the US
is we get through the crap, and lose the BS

for us all to succeed, we must stick together
no you perverts, mentally, for the better!

everyone helps each other, a truly great thing
so we can all go fast, and make our cars sing

hopefully, we can all get along together
make the club even better, this time forever

(this is the sensored version)

Wow, what a club. We got racers, tinkerers, researchers, newbies
and wannabies (no offence everybody, not trying to get another
thread deleted ). Now we even got balladeers, very nice work.
I like Bill's no dis for the AOD guys. :D

Blue Car under me

Blue Sky over me

Black Patches behind me

oh happy times

:D isn't that like Haiku or something

Ryan,

There is no actual unsensored version that I kept. There was some wise cracks in it that most people would have thought were funny, including those involved, but I decided against them based on the recent events with the forum. I didn't want to take the chance that someone might get offended, yourself included.

If you remind me, I can tell you next time we see each other.

Good work there Bill I now know you have to much time on your hands.:D
let me guess you had an ANCH joke in ther.

Anch,

I had some funny ones for you and a few others, but like I said to Ryan, I won't risk people getting offended. I'll tell you some of them when we meet up next.

you know its spring when...

the SC's are out in full force!!!! I'm seeing plenty of nice birds!! Not to mention other muscle cars... like the Chevelle I was behind the other day!
