temp gauge

i had a thread about my temp sensors...and i replaced 2 of them...one is a little one, that is on top of the engine..and another one that is a little bigger that connects also on the top of engine on a tube that goes back on the firewall , maybe into the heater core or something. now what it does is that the gauge stays on the most left position like it is cold...since it is morning..and it will not move at all...then about 5 min of driving it will raise about 3/4 to the max positon across then drop again into the runnig engine temp(which i dont really trust on being acurate since this gauge goes crazy) what do u guys think the problem is. any help would be appreciated

I had the same problem, somebody here advised me to take the sensor wire off ( the one by the t-stat housing ) put some die-electric grease on the connection and plug it back in. no problem with it since......still don't trust it , but at least it goes up w/the cars heat and stays consistent.
