my odometer just quit working. How do I remove the instrument cluster to diagnose the problem?

Rob

The odometers break all of the time on our cars, you need one. (Provided the speedo is still working.)

Just pull off all the trim peices untill you see the base cluster, then remove the 4 screws that hold it too the dash,
This would be a good time to go with a 94 speedo they go to 140

good luck

thanks. The speedo still works. Can I buy the parts I need to fix the odometer from Ford? What parts usually fail?

Rob

From what I've been told just the odometer itself, but it's no servicable seperatly, You have to buy the entire thing.
you might want to check around and ask about the 94 swap, heard it was pretty easy, but that there was a little diffrence in the two. I have also heard the the speedo is like 150.00 from ford, or something like that.

I haven't done the swap yet myself however, so I can't be of much insight there.

Good luck
Tim
