i have a suggestion for a new location for the national meet, ive been looking at possible itineraries that you guys might like and i need your input.
first off the location i was thinking of is merrillville (its in northwest indiana, a suburb of chicago)
here are some ideas i had
1. it is about 25 mins from US 41 dragstrip (RT 66 has sprint cars that weekend so it might be crowded)
2. i know some people in the nw indiana scca, and we could probably get a scca autocross solo race that saturday at one of the local high schools (for those of you who dont know what this is, its a coarse set up in a big parking lot with cones and you race by yourself around the course competing for the best time, its a hell of a lot of fun)
3. The subdivision i live in has a nice lake with a big picnic area that we could rent for saturday night and have a big bbq and also thers a big pool that we could go to, costs $2 a person (maybe we could rent it, might be cheaper)
4. there are a lot of hotels in the merrillville area that could house all of us and there are go kart tracks and things like that nearby also.
