I thought I saw a tech article a couple years ago about how to install a lifting shock like that used on the hood supports and added one or two to the rear deck lid for those of us who have a deck lid wing. I wanted to see if anyone had this article floating around somewhere. I can't stand it when someone slams my trunk shut because they don't realize it is so damn heavy.

Thanks

Phil

Why is someone else shutting your trunk?

Anyway, I think you might be able to find the information at MN12 Performance (http://www.mn12performance.com)

Check out the information I posted in this TCCoA thread.

It is a better install than what mn12's offers.

NOTE:

One strut works great on stock trunks;

Two struts work great on trunks with the factory spoiler.

Hope this helps;

theres a metal torsion bar that keeps the lid up, try putting a pipe on one end for leverage and moving it up one notch first
