need help with question

since my motor won't stop heating up, would it be cheaper to buy a new motor? the machanic says that it runs great b/c i rebuilt the whole top end. or should i just rip apart the heads again and get them redone, since the machanic didn't shave them?? what is the limit you can shave, port and polish these heads?

Are you certain the heads are causing your overheating problem? It could be a failure in the cooling system somewhere, or even simply air..
