94-95 SC BHJ Balancer Question

v6stanger

I am just about ready to order one of these and was wondering if they were a direct bolt on. Is the gear for the crank sensor already attached and ready to go? Does anything needed to be added on at all?

Thanks,

Zach

Do a search in this forum on this before you start the job. This is a must! There's a lot you need to know.

Zach, you may want to start off by reading the installation instructions then posting any questions that come up. Here is a link to the instructions posted in the FAQ section:

Also, I noticed you have a stang which leads me to believe you did an SC engine conversion? If so, make sure you get a balancer for the year engine you are running. Go to the link below and click on the respective part #s for pics to see the difference between the two models available: http://www.bluetonguemotorsports.com/BHJ/SCdamper.html

Thanks for the information guys.

I read over the directions and everything seems pretty straightforward. I'll be sure to print those out and give them to the machine shop.

Yes, I am using a 93 Supercoupe Block, 93 SC Crank, 94-95 SC Rods and Ross Forged Pistons.

I know I need to use the 94-95 balancer because it has the gear instead of the plate like the 89-93 has. Looks like I'll just have to find a gear somewhere then from a 94-95 SC.
