B&M Ripper Shifter - just 'ehh'...

The 1-2 and 2-3 shifts are improved a little - nothing dramatic, without the notchy woes. I removed the stock retainer spring that would normally lock into the ball of the stock shifter, since the Ripper has it's own spring-action mechanism, and to reduce the amount of shifting tension. Shifting into 5th takes a little muscle, since the retainer springs are locked into place, within the shifter housing within the tranny.

Conclusion: I give the B&M shifter a 2.5 out of 5, for the SLIGHT improvements it offers, but not enough for a $169.99 item. For that price, I can get some decent power bolt-ons.
