I just recently had the M5R2 rebuilt and put in a new clutch, master, slave, throwout and pilot bearings.
Sometimes the clutch pedal is stiff from the top, other times it moves down an inch before there is resistance. I think there is a problem here and I would like to know what it is. My Audi would do this and I'd have to bleed air out of the clutch line. Then it'd be fine for a few weeks till this happened again. I never did figure out which component was bad.
If the car sits out in the heat all day the pedal is fine, but when it cools down there play. I am gonna check the fluid level. This just seems odd to me. After driving it with the play in the pedal it will go back to almost normal after you drive it for a while.
