3.8L HG problems

I am rebuilding my 3.8 V6 SC engine because of a blown HG. I have been told that there is a problem with HG blowing on this engine. According to my Chilton manual, new head bolts should be used when reinstalling the heads. Has anyone done this and still had problems?

thanks

thrw the old head bolts away and return the new ones, then go to your local speed shop and get the a.r.p. stud kit. much much better, piece of mind. some of the older kits you had to modify the studs to fit, but the new kits are suposed to fit a-ok now. only use the fel-pro head set, and the intercooler tubes are a pain to seal. good luck. indy cylinder head will o-ring your heads for about 120 bucks a head. that is what they quoated me last winter. if you have any more questions feel free to ask.
