Would anyone be interested in a GP for BHJ Balancers for 89-93 and 94-95 Supercoupes?

Lets see how much interest we can gather and I will e-mail a few places to see what kind of price we can get.

Drop me an e-mail or reply.

Gentlemen, I have seen more than once that "decent pricing" has been mentioned which is obviously what the buy is all about. With that said, I have to inquire what does everyone consider to be an acceptable price range?

Paul

RBM91
04-28-2003, 03:05 PM
Is 10-20% possible. That would sure be OK with me. I'm not sure anyone knows what to expect.

BT Motorsports
04-28-2003, 03:07 PM
Depending on the # of people involved in the purchase, Im sure that 10-20% is reasonable. I am reserving my GP rate offering till Zach finishes his shopping.

Our current individual purchase price is $360 for the '89/93 and $385 for the
'94/95.
For groups of 5 the pricing would be $335 and $360.
For groups of 10 the pricing would be $325 and $350.
For groups of 15 the pricing would be $310 and $333.

Shipping is $7-12.00

We also carry a high quality new balancer bolt and washer for this application
too. These are $9 for the pair.

He has tons of these in stock ready to ship and will ship them out asap so there is no waiting period.

Let me know guys.

BT Motorsports

Zach, sorry to tell you, but that really isnt a deal. If you look over the discount prices listed, the groups of 5 pricing is nearly identical to the regular discount I give TBSCEC members. The problem is that though the discount may be significant off the regular retail, the retail pricing you received is significantly higher than mine. Here is my offer for the group buy:

Our current individual purchase price is $344.99 for the '89/93 and $369.99 for the '94/95.

For groups of 5-9 the pricing would be $320 and $345
For groups of 10 the pricing would be $310 and $335.
For groups of 15 the pricing would be $295 and $320.

Shipping will be actual cost of UPS based upon the individual client's shipping address....shipping to a business is less.

I am presently working on a grade 12.9 bolt of the proper length instead of the grade 10.9 mustang bolt which is shorter than the SC bolt and should have them available by the time the balancers are ready for shipment.

That sounds awesome, Paul - almost irresistible! Thanks Zach, for getting the ball rolling on this kind of a group buy. What, if any, deadline would there be?

BT Motorsports
04-29-2003, 06:11 PM
Well, first thing that needs to happen is for someone or everyone to agree on who they want the group buy to come from. Once that is established, assuming BTM is chosen, we can go from there. I would say 2-3 weeks is a suitable closing date for the buy. With that said, would everyone interested please chime in with your 2 cents.

Paul

Hey Paul those prices look extremely fair. Looks like you are the guy to go with.

Everyone chime in and lets get an estimate.

And please any of you guys who belong to other supercoupe boards let them know of this GROUP PURCHASE and PRICES so we can get the best possible rates.

Thanks,

Ok Looks like we have 6-7 people interested so far.

Everyone who replied so far drop me an e-mail and let me know if you are definetly in or not so we at least know that we can get the 5 person discount for sure. Even if you replied and want to back out let me know so there is no confusion.

Spread the word on other boards and let your other SC buddies know about this. The 10 or 15 people price would be great to get.

Thanks fellas,

Ok, so dare I ASSUme I will be the retailer the group buy will be going through? If so (Zach, since you started this whole thing, I presume the final decision is up to you), as soon as I receive confirmation, I will begin an HTML page like I did for the Roller Rockers and we can get the ball rolling. I would like to close the group buy on the 17th or 24th of May, let me know your thoughts on this.

Please also specify what year balancer you will need (early 89-93 or late 94-95). Lastly, include your shipping address and notate if it is commercial or residential so I may get an accurate shipping quote for you.

Paul In case you didnt notice, the html page for this group buy is titled "roller rocker group buy". No biggie just thought id bring it to your attention.

BT Motorsports
05-02-2003, 07:32 PM
Chalk that up to my inferior HTML skills.......started using the rocker GP page for the layout of this one, Im fixing it now. I see a few emails are starting to come in about the buy. I will not be able to answer them until tomorrow as I am leaving for work now.

Ok, I have updated the page with the names of those who have currently contacted me with their information so I may quote a shipping cost to them. So far there are 6 people listed. I will start accepting payments on May 22nd and no later than May 31st. I will not be adding anyone to the list until I have been contacted by them directly. It is important that if you choose to drop out of the group buy, that you notify me immediately as this may affect what discount level others will receive.

Paul

v6stanger
05-04-2003, 03:02 AM
Wow, Paul looks like you have a direct competitor posting also now with extremely good prices.

We might lose a few people without a price match fo some sort.

Just a thought so this can be successful as possible.

Zach

BT Motorsports
05-04-2003, 06:33 PM
Well Zach, the best we are going to see here is for groups of 5+ the pricing will be $295 and $320, 15+ will receive free shipping. I will be updating the site page as soon as my server comes back up from updating. If Bill wants to go lower than that, then everyone looking to purchase makes out better. Just remember the pricing you receieved when you first asked Bill what he could do for the community. I think its great to see this kind of competition but a tragedy at the same time to see a business try to capitalize on the uniqueness of our car and parts available with high and outlandish pricing until someone steps forward and offers something reasonable.

Paul

v6stanger
05-04-2003, 06:52 PM
Yeah I was thinking the same thing. Hopefully others will realize this too and not bail out on our original GP.

When can we start sending in money?

Thanks,

Zach

BT Motorsports
05-04-2003, 09:20 PM
Given the updated pricing, money can be sent in immediately. If we receive more than 15 orders, I will include a refund or store credit (purchaser's choice) on the shipping.

Paul

Bill Evanoff

Let's not forget when BHJ first offered these there were several group buys directly from them. The pricing was approx. $396 for the early units and $417 for the '94/95 units.

Pricing on both items has come a long way!

Yes, competition is good for everyone, but as distributors of this item Paul and I both have to at least cover our expenses, plus hopefully a few extra penneys profit. I'll always match pricing with any supplier on an identical part but if prices go too low for any length of time then an out-of-business distributor does nothing for the SC enthusiast either.

A new bolt is recomended, though not neccesary unless yours is broken. If your current balancer is intact, you can reuse your bolt and washer.

Hi Paul! I'm sorta new at this, but I need to know how we go about setting up a group purchase? I have seen a few done and I think I have maybe 5 folks interested at this time and hope to get more interest again! Can I assume we can get the same rate as the last group? Thanks Frank H.

BT Motorsports

Well, we set up an open and close date for the buy as well as a tentative ship date. Next, during the course of the open dates, everyone who is a part of the group purchase sends their payment in. After everyone's payment is received and the buy closes, depending on ship date, the orders are shipped to one or each person depending on the arrangements made. In this case, everyone would pay a shipping fee and the units will be shipped to them directly. Contact me off line to discuss pricing.

Paul
